IB Submission Information for Written Tasks 1 & 2
BEFORE you submit your Written Tasks 1 and 2 to IB:
When you are ready to submit both Written Tasks 1 and 2 to IB:
- Be sure you have submitted your final, FINAL revisions of both Written Task 1 AND 2 (1 from junior year, 1 from senior) to turnitin.com PRIOR to submitting to IB.
- Remember that some of you will have to look in two places.
- If you make ANY changes to year one written tasks, submit them to the revision assignment for that task. Remember that's on Mrs. Dogancay's IB account.
- You will download your revisions from turnitin.com.
- MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FOLLOWED DIRECTIONS WITH WORD COUNTS, FONTS, NO NAMES, and also included PAGE NUMBERS at the bottom of the pages in your Written Tasks.
- Written Task 1's, put the Rationale first.
- Written Task 2's, put the Outline first.
- Review the gold handout for other information that must be included at the beginning of the task. NO NAMES, including your teachers' names!!
- MAKE SURE YOUR SUBMISSIONS HAVE BEEN SAVED WITH THE PROPER FILE NAME FOR IB.
- Review the IB handout (page 2) from the resources I provided you last week for additional information.
When you are ready to submit both Written Tasks 1 and 2 to IB:
- You must download the pdf below, and open it using Adobe Reader. You must create a cover page for this course.
- Re-enter your PIN code (three letters followed by three numbers).
- Parts 1-4 are pre-completed for you--do not add anything.
- Leave the items in the SL section BLANK.
- Under the HL section complete the information for Written Tasks 1 and 2:
- Written Task 1: Text type (diary, news article, short story), word count for rationale, and word count for task.
- Written Task 2: Word count and the prescribed question.
- Save with the following title: lastname_firstname_English_HL_cover_Magnante.pdf
- The .pdf will be added when you click save.
- I recommend saving it to the desktop for easy access in a little bit.
- Reopen the file to ensure that it saved your information properly, which won't happen if you don't use Adobe Reader.
- Open Mozilla Firefox (not Safari or Google) and go to https://candidates.ibo.org
- Use your own unique personal code and PIN.
- Declare you will submit your own work.
- Select the TAB "My Coursework."
- If the pop up window doesn't open, look for an icon with a red dot near the right side of the address bar where you enter the URL, and click to always allow pop-ups from this site.
- Enter your Personal Code and PIN (this should be three letters followed by three numbers)--all are case sensitive and then click on the "Login" button.
- Go to English A: Language and Literature HL--there should be a red button on the left since you have completed submission of your work.
- Upload the COVER LETTER you just created. Make sure it isn't blank, which happens if you don't use Adobe Reader.
- Written Task 1 from turnitin.com (Make sure the file name is correctly formatted!)
- Written Task 2 from turnitin.com (Make sure the file name is correctly formatted!)
- Once all three are uploaded, a blue submit button appears to the right of the English A: Language and Literature HL heading (circle is still red at this point).
- Keep clicking this submit button each time it refreshes until the red circle turns green.
- When you have completed this, make sure that you complete the Google Reflection Form. This is separate from IB, but is part of the requirement for you to earn the extra credit for Written Task Revisions.
This is the pdf of the cover page that you must download
